March 18, 2014 Board Meeting Agenda Item #17 Title APPROVAL OF EXPULSION CASE NO. 14-259 Description The student listed in Expulsion Case No. 14-259, is in violation of School Board Policy 5.34(1)(G) Repetitive Disobedience/Open Defiance.  On February 5, 2014, the student listed in Expulsion Case No. 14-259, violated School Board Policy 5.34(1)(G) Repetitive Disobedience/Open Defiance.  It is the recommendation of the Superintendent, that the student be expelled from the Sarasota County Schools until June 1, 2015. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case No. 14-259, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools, be approved effective immediately for the remainder of the 2013-2014 academic year, the 2014 summer session and until June 2 of the 2014-2015 academic year.
